Guy Williams
Guy Williams
Guy Williams is a Maine and New York based painter and sculptor.
Born in Portland, Maine, Guy Williams earned his Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the Maine College of Art, and his Master of Art degree from the University of Wisconsin. For over 30 years he has exhibited his art in dozens of galleries and museums across the country including the Chatauqua National Exhibition of American Art, Rockford Art Exhibition in Illinois, the Portland Museum of Art, and the prestigious Farnsworth Museum at their 40th anniversary juried exposition.
Inspired by shapes intrinsic to the world around us, he crafts thought-provoking rhythmic forms in bronze and marble, and paints portraits and landscapes of the Maine coast and urban environments. Each creation urges us to fully explore its presence in both tactile and visual realms. "My source of inspiration comes from the natural world and it is ever-changing, filled with nuance, and perpetually wondrous."
His work can be seen at his Maine studio, by appointment. Please use the contact form to get in touch.
